Current Projects
- The EMET Lab is one of the 3 sites in the CALERIE study, the first human trial of calorie restriction to examine potential benefits for parameters related to longevity.
- Emergency Food Product study. The EMET lab recently obtained funding to examine the effects of emergency food products, on long-term body weight. The study relates to our interest in the role of dietary variety in weight regulation, hunger, satiety and food cravings.
- The EMET lab recently did an NIH submission on dietary composition x insulin secretion interaction in weight control (Roberts and Pittas Co-PIs, NIH submission for June 6th) to examine whether individualizing dietary recommendations facilitates weight control in overweight and obese individuals.
- The EMET lab is currently exploring developing a Worksite Healthy Weight intervention (internal funding).
